Gather main ingredients. You can use pork or any leftover meat you have. This is a quick soup perfect for leftovers.

Make a chili paste with the chipotle in adobo and garlic. I always have the contents of a can of chipotle in adobo puréed in my fridge.

Peel yam and chop into cubes. Slice onion and cook over medium heat with a touch of oil. Add the yams and stir. Add chili paste and sauté for 5 mins
